Morehead City Yacht Basin to River Dunes Marina

Got a pumpout before we departed and I took some time to look at how to install an accumulator in our fresh water system. Currently, the amount of water and the pressure is solely dependent upon the pump. When running a steady stream is produced when stopped the stream diminishes and then the pump runs. The accumulator should even out that stream giving the pump room to push water before shutting down and then releasing that water when the tap is opened. Less cycling and therefore less strain on the pump.

Just being beautiful!
Short cruise day 9:00 until 1:00 so we could enjoy this fantastic marina. Maybe the best resort marina on the eastern seaboard. Very well protected basin with floating piers, Rick the dockmaster, did an excellent job at providing information on how to find and enter the slip and was available to help with lines and electric. We checked in after getting settled, checking email, and then off to the laundry and pool. Had a nice swim while the laundry was being done and enjoyed one of the poolside cabanas.

Tonight they plan to open the restaurant, normally closed during the week, so the transient boaters can have supper, great hospitality. Quintessence, Tanuki and ourselves had supper and talked of past and future adventures. This is a new planned community near Oriental, NC and is beautiful. Hopefully the pictures will show the grandeur of this place.

This is a must stop for Loopers!
