We departed this morning just as it was beginning to get
light, the sun rose as we entered the Demopolis Lock with 7 other boats. The
lock through was easy and quick and we began our journey. A few tows today and
only a few fishermen that was a bit surprising. We followed on tow for quite a
while he was moving about a tenth of a mile per hour slower than we were and it
was close to our stopping point for the evening. Bashi Creek is just a small
tributary with enough room for a couple of boats to anchor.
