Grand Harbor to Midway Marina

Mostly clear skies today, temperature in the lower 70's and wind out of the north quite strong at times. We departed with the sunrise this morning heading down Yellow Creek toward the Divide Cut a 25 mile canal that is part of the Tenn-Tom Waterway. This canal was cut up to 175' deep to connect Yellow Creek with Bay Springs Lake and the Jamie Whitten Lock. We completed the first three locks today and traveled 57 miles, the lockmasters on the Tenn-Tom so far have been great, working to have the doors open for us when we arrived and stepping through the lock procedure quickly. Three commercial tows this morning in an easy passing area. We will call the Fulton Lock in the morning prior to leaving the marina and look forward to another great cruising day.
