Joe Wheeler State Park to Grand Harbor Marina

No fog this morning and so we were able to leave by 8:00, two locks and 61 miles would complete the day at Grand Harbor. Many Loopers have already gathered for the Rendezvous that begins tomorrow and on our way between the Wheeler Lock and the Wilson Lock we encountered 10 additional Looper boats that locked up together. Nice sunshiny day but quite windy from the northwest, white caps on the river. Wilson Lock is one of the largest lifting 93 feet to form the pool of Wilson Lake. This completes our side trip to Chattanooga we departed a week ago Wednesday and returned to Grand Harbor today 14 days a fun trip seeing more of the Tennessee River. Traveling through much of northern Alabama back into Tennessee at the Georgia line.
