Independence Day - Hudson River

Yep, its raining

The weather remained dismal today and the slow moving front joined with the late effects of Hurricane Arthur.  But by evening the sky is beginning to clear and tomorrow looks much better.

We spent the day reading and going for a long walk.  Dennis spent time helping some other boaters with mechanical issues and we read for a couple of hours.  Then we invited the other Loopers from the marina to come over for docktails.  We can fit a few people inside the boat when it’s too wet outside to party on the sundeck.  They were great fun:  Ralph and Linda from “Mazel Tug”, Gerry and Ann from “Polaris” and visitor Melinda, who brought goodies from a bakery in NYC.   Tonight we all plan to walk up the hill to a spot where we hope to view fireworks across the river.
