Heavily overcast, rainy and cold today, we waited until 9:00
hoping the rain to lessen a bit and then began our cruise, we needed to get
through the Nickajack lock today on our route to Chattanooga. We passed an
inactive ferry on our travel and when we reached the lock we had a two hour
wait. The front half of the tow was being pushed out as we tied to the adjacent
wall to wait. The lockmaster estimated two hours but things went a bit quicker
and we were locked through in that time.
