Sturgeon Bay Canal to Frankfort, MI

Sorry I missed last night, we anchored in the canal toward the east entrance to Sturgeon Bay so we could be close to Lake Michigan for We were up early, 5:30 central, and prepared to depart. The lake is now so clear the weeds grow really well and I think we pulled up 50 pounds easily. The winch had a hard time lifting the anchor and the pile of weeds.

Today is the best day to cross for the next week but not perfect. Initially, 1 foot waves off the port bow and later as we approached Michigan strong rolling waves directly on the beam a bit bumpy. But we arrived in just over 7 hours and were able to get a slip at the Frankfort Municipal Marina, we will be here for 6 days to complete our house purchase in Florida on Monday. Nice little resort town, we ate at Dinghy's famous for its BBQ, good supper.
