Muskegon to Grand Haven

We departed Muskegon about 8 AM this morning, a bit of wind and the sun still rising through the clouds. A 12 mile ride to Grand Haven, cruise central for the Michigan side of the lake. The Grand river runs all the way to Grand Rapids from here and Spring Lake is a part of the river system. This is also the largest Coast Guard deployment on Lake Michigan.  We landed at the municipal marina a group of piers perpendicular to the river bank right in the heart of downtown. They have created a pedestrian friendly river walk for at least a mile along the downtown, really nice for boaters and tourists. Sunny day today with lots of wind this afternoon keeping the temperature manageable.

After dinner we went to WOW, Worship on the Water, along with 1000 to 1500 others. This worship service on Sunday nights in the Summer has been going on for 70 years, that's a WOW! A really strong praise band lead off the service and Jason Gray was the featured soloist. Jason did a show with his songs and his testimony to Christ, very inspiring and exciting to see so many people attending the worship service.

After dark we were entertained by the Grand Haven Musical Fountain for about a half hour. Very fun day, in Grand Haven.
