Charleston Day 3

The storms here have ended and except for a gray sky it was a calm day.  We hope all our friends across the country were as lucky and safe as we were.

Today was a chance to do the laundry and scrub the boat and go grocery shopping. There is a grocery store about 6 blocks away, so we made sure to take advantage of that.

Fresh off the plane, Oysters being delivered
This evening we went out for a stroll and saw some beautiful waterfront parks and fountains.  We wandered through some shops and stopped at Amen Raw Bar for some fresh oysters – really fresh; they were being delivered in the back as fast as they could be ordered at the table.  There were at least 15 different varieties of oysters from all over the country.  Then we went to a restaurant called “Blossom” for a fine dining experience – every dish was excellent.  It was a good thing that there was a walk back to the boat as we ate too much and enjoyed it all.
