Nicolet Bay

We stayed at anchor today in Nicolet Bay, Peninsula Park is one of my favorite places to visit and adsorb. Today we walked the trails to Welkers Point and read about Brown Bats that live in a high rise box. They winter in the caves here and further south. We walked back on the forest trail and enjoyed seeing the many varieties of trees. The cedars here are very large and seem to dominate, but in the same small area there are also birch, poplar, maple and giant pine trees. I so enjoy this place, many fond memories of camping/boating vacations here. Tonight there are about a dozen boats anchored in the harbor and today all the campers, young and old were at the beach. What a great slice of Americana.

Last night we watched some movies on Netflix our new systems are working well. We are getting free Wi-Fi from the Nicolet Bay Concession Stand, free local TV service and today by 5:30 PM our batteries were once again fully charged with free solar power. Wow, I am very pleased with these new capabilities.

Interesting tree growth
Many different trees in this forest

Busy summer beach
Setting sun a quiet setting
